Curse of the Mummy at The Escape Game DC

Georgetown, Va

Review of Curse of the Mummy

Becca worked on A Midsummer Night's Dream with the Folger Shakespeare Library this summer so the other 3 of us went to visit her in DC and played some escape rooms in addition to seeing the show!  In Curse of the Mummy, you only have 60 minutes of air left to escape the tomb.  You must find the secret passageway to escape!

Trying to find parking in Georgetown was quite crazy.  We recommend leaving very early in order to make your room on time.  We arrived late and only had 40 minutes left on the clock.  Our game master was great, but we did get some hints for things we had already done.  We did feel a little flustered starting this room since we had already lost 20 minutes and ended up using 5 hints.  This room didn't really feel like it flowed well.  There was no clear indication of what to do with items we found in the room and no clear directions for the clues.

Overall, we enjoyed our time!  We even ended up staying and booking a second game that day!
