Review of Merlin's House

After coming home from our first escape room, we decided we were hooked and wanted to do another one that same evening!  We went to the Baltimore Aquarium and on our way back to Frederick, we stopped in Towson, MD at Smart Escape to play Merlin's House.  In this room we found ourselves in Merlin's House.  Merlin doesn't like to have guests and you must get as far away as you can in an hour or Merlin will turn you into furniture.  The game master asked us if we wanted to take a picture before we entered the room.  We were a little confused by this since every other time we've done an escape room we always get a picture at the end.  We don't want to give anything away, but make sure you get your picture taken when they ask!

The room itself was well put together.  We had a little bit of trouble with one of the puzzles at first, but our game master was kind enough to tell us that it had actually unlocked.  We felt that some of the puzzles were a little disjointed and did not fit the context of the story.  This room does require you to have some math skills.  Make sure you remember "Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally"!

Overall, we didn't find the puzzles too difficult and escaped with about 25 minutes left on the clock.  Our game master was very impressed with how fast we were able to escape.
